Rules: Overview |
By creating an account and using MyMMOGames.net (MMOG), you are agreeing to the following rules and Terms of Service. Failure to abide by the rules set forth below could result in a ban, temporary or permanent, from MMOG. Depending upon the severity, users could be blocked from read-access to the site or denied access via IP address. Severe infractions or criminal activity could be reported to law enforcement agencies. Please review our privacy policy before creating an account. By creating an account, you are also agreeing to that privacy policy. Ignorance of the rules will not be a valid excuse.
Interpretation of the rules will be left to the MMOG staff. Disputes/discussion will be done in private. The word of the administrators is final.

Rules: General Rules |
The following infractions are worth 1 point and expire in 10 days:
1-01. Wrong Section: Posting a thread in the wrong section. Examples of this are official announcements in the "General Chat" section, questions in the "Guides" section, etc.
1-02. General Market Violation: Violating any of the market rules. A link to rules specific to the market can be found at the end of this section.
1-03. ????? !!!!!: Please do not use multiple punctuation marks in your thread topics/posts. All it does is annoy other users; one punctuation mark is sufficient to establish context.
1-04. Big Signature: Using a signature that stretches the forum or makes threads unreadable is not allowed.
1-05. Double Threads: Please do not post the same thread in the same section to increase visibility. All this serves is to clutter the forums.
1-06. Multiple Threads: Like #5, please do not post the same thread in multiple forums.
1-07. No Screen Shot: Starting a thread in the "Screenshots" section requires a screenshot in the initial post.
1-08. Plagiarism: Please do not copy another's guide/information/etc. without giving due credit. This includes guides from another site; the original author may PM us proof if there is confusion.
1-09. Repeated Post: Repeating information someone else has already posted is spam. This does not apply to the "Member Threads" section.
1-10. Incomplete Title: Please use descriptive and accurate thread titles, especially in the "Questions and Answers" section.s
1-11. Insulted Other Member(s): Insulting other MyMMOGames.net members is uncalled for and only serves to start a flame war. If the insult is severe enough and a flame war has already erupted, a more severe infraction may be used.
1-12. Signature Rule Violation: Like "General Market Violation", this covers signature rule violations. A link to signature rules can be found at the end of this section.
1-13. Inappropriate Language: Language that is inappropriate but does not warrant a ban or is not sexual in nature. Discretion of "appropriate" will be left to the moderators.
1-14. Spamming: Posting nonsense replies or threads is spamming. This includes posting smiley spam (multiple smilies in a row). Spamming will be left to the discretion of the moderators. This does not apply to the "Random" section.
1-15. Avatar Violation: Using an inappropriate avatar is not allowed. Appropriate will be at the discretion of the staff.
1-16. All Caps: PLEASE DO NOT USE POSTS CONTAINING ALL CAPS. This is annoying and difficult to read. This infraction includes posts in which the majority of text is all caps.
1-17. Bumping / Necro: Replying to threads that have not been active for 2 weeks is not allowed. This does not apply to the Market section (in moderation, excessive bumping in the Market section will still be warned).
1-18. Double Posting: Posting two or more times in a row is spamming and is not allowed. Please use the "Edit" feature. This does not apply to the Market section (in moderation, excessive double posting will still be warned).
1-19. Going Off Topic: If you have something to ask a specific person about a post and it does not relate to the topic, please use the PM system. This also includes "hijacking" Market threads and random, off-topic posts that are not covered by another rule. Please pay attention to the thread topic before posting.
1-20. False Report: If you're reporting a post, please ensure you have a good reason for it. Valid reasons include rule violations, requests for moderator action, etc. Invalid reasons include reporting instead of replying (yes, this happens), reporting in response to an infraction/ban, etc.
The following infractions are worth 2 points and expire in 10 days:
2-01. Disrespect of Authority: Flaming of a moderator is not allowed. Serious infractions may skip this and receive bans. Note: Disrespect of authority may also include continuing another violation after a moderator has asked you to stop.
2-02. Sexual Content: This board has members of all ages and some topics of discussion may not be appropriate for those ages. Note that this does not include pornographic images; these will be removed and the user banned.
2-03. Disputing Infractions in a Thread: If you receive an infraction and you do not agree with it, please discuss it in PM with the moderator that gave the infraction. If you are not satisfied with their response, please go up the list. If it was a trial moderator (teal name), you may contact a moderator (red name). If it was a moderator, please contact an administrator (green name). Note: This also includes disputing moderator actions, i.e. closing threads, moving threads, etc.
2-04. Unwanted Advertisements: Advertising websites, products, etc. is not allowed. Links to off-topic sites may be present in your signature; check the signature rules at the end of this section for more information.
2-05. Degradation of Image: Trolling, flaming, or instigating fights on forums outside MyMMOGames is not allowed. If you do this and it comes back to the staff here, you will receive infractions here. You represent our community and we do not need bad publicity. This infraction includes anything that we, the staff, view as negative publicity of our community and can include raiding games in the name of MyMMO, stealing artwork from other sites/forums, etc. You may not care about how people view our community, but I do.
The following infractions are worth more than 2 points and have variable expiration times:
3-01. Flaming (3 points, 10 day expiration): Flaming of any member is not tolerated in this forum. This includes posting "Rants" about MyMMOGames.net members. This also includes posting Hacker, Scammer, or any other "blacklist" accusations without proof. This may be used in conjunction with "Disrespect of Authority".
3-02. Instigation (4 points, 1 month expiration): Attempting to start flame wars is not allowed. This includes trying to start problems without directly flaming.
3-03. Hacking the Arcade (5 points, 10 day expiration): Cheating in the arcade to get a higher score is not allowed.
3-04. Scamming/Hacks (10 points, 10 day expiration): Posting/promoting scamming or hacking is not allowed on this forum. Market scams may be covered by this infraction; however, more specific information about market scams may be found at the end of this thread.
Ban Infractions:
4-01. 1 Day Suspension: Suspends the user for one day; worth 10 points.
4-02. 1 Week Suspension: Suspends the user for one week; worth 20 points.
4-03. 1 Month Suspension: Suspends the user for one month; worth 30 points.
4-04. Permanent Ban: Never expires, the user is no longer welcome on MyMMOGames.net; worth 9001 points.
Bannable Offenses:
These offenses may skip all other infractions. This list is not all-inclusive.
- Posting/promoting scamming or hacks
- Multiple accounts (PM an Administrator to have an account created for a sibling using the same IP address)
- Pornographic material
- Attacks (or attempted attacks) on MyMMOGames, such as multiple forum spam, DDoS attacks, etc.
If you accumulate 4 or more infractions, a 1 Day Suspension will automatically be given. Users accumulating 10 unexpired infraction points will be given a 3 Day Suspension. Accumulation of 15 unexpired points will result in an automatic 1 Week Suspension.

Rules: Sexual Content |
Clarification on Sexual Content and Pornographic Images:
Since there's been so much debate over this issue on both MT and now MyMMOGames, I am going to clarify it as absolutely as I can. It's impossible to lay out absolute rules for this as there are so many situations that could arise, but I'll do my best here.
1. No images containing bare female breasts, male or female genitalia, or explicit sexual acts will be tolerated. If the images are animated, the user will be given a "Sexual Content" infraction for first offense, and banned under "Pornography" for a second offense. If the images are photographs that a reasonable person could discern as a human being, the user will be banned under "Pornography" as this is a zero-tolerance offense.
-- Examples of images that are acceptable: Ecchi anime images where no bare female breasts are shown or no genitalia are shown. Images of girls in lingerie or bathing suits would be deemed acceptable, but please try and remember these images may offend some people. User profile albums would be the best place for them. If you post them in the image gallery, be sure you mark them appropriately. The above rule also applies for photographs. Specially, the "breast fondling" gifs are acceptable unless the breasts are bare - in which case they are not acceptable. EXCEPTIONS: If you post a game screenshot or official game art that contains bare female breasts (examples: Isis from Ragnarok Online, Aposis from Trickster Online) you are not in violation of this rule. See "PG-13" below. Note that "official game art" does not include doujin of a Trickster raccoon character humping a Trickster sheep character.
2. Sexual Content (not image related). No discussion describing explicit sexual acts (such as rape, buttrape, etc. will be allowed. Infractions will follow a normal progression and could lead to a ban. Additionally, sexual harassment will not be tolerated. This includes talking about certain staff member's breasts, for example. While the words "boobs", "breasts", and "nipples" are not explicitly banned (as they are not included in the site's language filter), if they are used in a way that the receiving entity would regard as sexual harassment then they are in violation of this rule.
Keep in mind, the board is PG-13. When you go to a PG-13 movie, do you expect it to be all flowers and ponies? No members under 13 years of age are allowed to register for the board, so we do not take into account their presence when setting the rules. While we must be slightly more restrictive than the MPAA's PG-13 rating (i.e. you would probably see nudity in a PG-13 movie), we are not going to force everyone into a "G" rating.

Rules: Market Rules |
When Selling:
1. All sellers must include their IGN's. This will help the sellers and buyers when making a trade. Sellers may have their IGN's in their posts or signature.
2. MyMMOGames.net can not be held responsible if you were scammed. Each buyers should be precaution when making trades. You should use the iTrader system after you make the purchase. You may leave positive or negative ratings and comments. Abusing the iTrader system will resulted in infractions. Buyers Beware!
3. Trading of real currency it not allowed. However, members may trade "cash items" (i.e. Trickster Online MyShop) for in-game currency. We do not permit any type of trading that involves any real money such as trading game currency, leveling, account sales, for money.
4. Account selling is not permitted. You may not trade accounts-for-accounts either.
5. Foreign exchange of game currency is permitted. You may trade different game currencies, MyMMOGames.net will not be held responsible if you were scammed. (See rule#2) All inter-games trading should be made in the General Market section.
6. Buying "Power-Leveling" is permitted. MyMMOGames.net will not be held responsible if you were scammed. (see rule#2)
7. All selling threads (S>[item]) must include the following:- Name of the item. Description of the the said item is optional.
- Absolute prices of the items. (If you wish you have an auction, you may host one as long as you follow the auctioning rules. See #8)
- Your IGN's and Server or World.
8. Auction threads (A>[item]) must include the following:- Name of the item. Description of said item is optional.
- Starting bid price (S/B), Minimum increase (M/I), and end time. Auto-Win (A/W) is optional, but recommended.
- Your IGN's and Server or World.
Sellers must provide starting and end time of the auctions. The maximum number of hours for an auction is 96 hours. Seller may not accept any bids after the auction has ended.
Auctioning the same items in different forums is not allowed. Auctioning the listed items may not be sold in-game. There is a 24-hour limit between auctions if the first attempt failed.
9. The maximum number of bumping is 3 times. If all 3 bumps are used in the span of an hour, it is the seller's loss.
When Buying:
1. Buyers are not allowed to edit their replies. Double posting is allowed in the market section, as long as it isn't excessive.
2. Buyers must keep their words. If the buyers decided to bid, or buy items, they must keep their words and purchase the items.
3. All buying thread (B>[item]) must include the following:- Name of the items.
- Your offers.
- Your IGN's and Server or World.
iTrader System
When a trade is done, completed or not, members may leave feedbacks to the seller/buyers. Members should check the iTrader of your merchants or buyers before selling/buyings.
Unjustified feedbacks may be reported. Suspicious iTrader feedbacks are automatically sent to the staff.
Cash Shop Trading: Limited cash shop item trading is permitted on MMOG but strict rules regarding these trades apply:- Under no circumstances will trades for actual cash be allowed. Do not try to sell in-game currency, accounts, or anything else where real money changes hands. This will be grounds for permanent banning.
- Only actual items from cash shops will be available for trade. You may offer a S> Item thread but not a S> Cash Points thread.
- All trades must be conducted in accordance with the publisher's terms of service. Because we run forums for multiple games, we cannot reasonably keep up with all items that are allowed trade and items that are not.
- If you violate a publisher's terms of service and are banned from the game, MyMMOGames will not be held responsible. We just said in the previous statement that you are responsible for knowing the terms of service for the game in which you are trading.
- Be wary of scamming! We have the iTrader system for a reason. Use it and do your homework before you try to buy/sell items from cash shops. MyMMOGames assumes no liability if you are scammed! We have multiple scammer reporting threads - use them and the iTrader system!
Disclaimer of Liability: As previously stated, MyMMOGames.net will assume no responsibility over trades. It is the seller/buyer's responsibility to check the iTrader feedback of the other party before deciding to complete a trade. Specifically regarding Cash Shop trades, you assume all responsibility regarding these transactions. MyMMOGames.net will not assume responsibility for any consequence to your characters.

Rules: Signature |
Rules
1. No signature may be any larger than 200 pixels high. If this rule is broken, no infraction will take place, but the signature will be automatically cut off. If your signature is too wide (no set limit currently, decision of "too" wide is at the discretion of the staff), then you may be faced with a 'Big Signature' infraction, along with a set time by which the signature must be replaced.
2. No signature may contain sexually explicit images or quotes.
3. Any word filtered by the forum when typed is also not allowed to be displayed in a signature.
4. No racially, ethnically, or religiously offensive images or quotes may be used.
5. Keep it PG-13 folks. 13 is the minimum age to access this forum, so realize who may be looking at what you use for a signature.
6. Please use your judgment when setting your signature. If you don't use your judgment, then we have to use ours.
7. Signature images greater than 250 KB in size are not allowed. This includes animated .gif images that cause unnecessary lag to other users. If you see a signature that is in violation of this rule, please use the report post function. Animated .gifs causing lag will be left to the discretion of the staff. Infractions will be worth 1 point and will expire in 10 days.
Abusing this system or reporting signature images just "because you don't like them" will earn the reporter the same infraction level.

Intellectual Property
Content that violates intellectual property ownership will not be posted here. If in doubt, please contact a member of the MMOG staff and we'll clarify. For the most part, we have rights to redistribute game graphics, sprites, and official media. Music will never be posted without authorization of the MMOG staff. Please do not post links to hack, cheat, gold sales, account sales, or other illegal sites. Get-rich-quick scams or pyramid marketing schemes will also not be tolerated.
Advertisements
Advertisement in any form will not be tolerated. External links are allowed in forum signatures and your wiki profile page but will not be posted in the MMOG wiki unless they are relevant to the article in which they are posted.
Vandalism
Vandalism will not be tolerated. Vandalism will be left to the discretion of the wiki staff and will be handled accordingly. Attempts to vandalize the wiki could result in your IP address being blocked from viewing the wiki.
Copying Content/Proxies
Due to recent issues with others copying the hard work of our wiki staff, anonymous viewing of page sources have been disabled. If you want to see a page's source, you must have an account and be signed in. Wiki information is public domain, but if you take information from this wiki you must cite your source. Failure to properly cite content obtained by this wiki will result in a permanent ban.
On that note, if you are detected accessing the wiki through a proxy you will be banned. If you have a legitimate need to use a proxy, please contact the staff and we will review your case accordingly.
