What does people marrying have ANYTHING to do with you? Leave them alone and let them marry! Also, trying to keep marriage "traditional"? PLEASE. If we kept the United States "traditional", we`d still have slaves because that`s the way things were.

While I'm not for or against the banning of their right to marry, I really don't think that the issue is as simple as "them getting married will in no way effect you!" or keeping marriage strictly "traditional."
First of all, there's an issue with your argument of "we'd still have slaves because that's the way things were." People against who are against gays are only arguing to keep ->
MARRIAGE<- traditional. To treat as an all or nothing kind of situation doesn't really make sense.
Second, yeah, their marriage actually could effect other lives. It's more or less a gradual process, but allowing gay marriage would probably eventually lead more people to believe it is okay to be gay (I'm not going to argue if it is okay or if it is not), which puts fear into the anti-gays that they may have to deal with their children or grand-children living in a society that accepts homosexuality, and possibly having to deal with said children being gay themselves.
Third, I know you didn't post anything to bring this up but, gay people haven't exactly been the kindest toward religious folk either. That Massachusettes case where the two women sued the Church for not allowing them to get married was just wrong. If it's against the Church's morals to marry them, they should've just found another place to get married. But they didn't, they sued, and yes, they won. However, this kind of action just seems like an Atheist trying to push his ideals on a Christian. It's hypocrisy. This is only one example though, and I admit, I actually don't know a ton on this case, so feel free to point out any errors I made.
