As for McCain's death, it's a possibility, but it's being regarded as a de facto occurence. Also, McCain is doing better than Cheny was when he started, and Cheny did make it out alive, for better or for worse.
To be concise, Obama has promised some rather expensive things while at the same time touting tax cuts. The difference in funding is going to be made up by enforcing a current law that isn't being enforced, although even if that works out there will still be an embarrassing shortage of funds. In order to deliver on his promises, Obama will have to either raise taxes or increase the national debt. Personally I like what he's saying, what unsettles me is that I'm sure he knows that what's he's saying can't be met by what he has the power to do. The best source for this information was a newspaper article, but as I'm not in the habit of keeping newspapers for very long, I couldn't find it and no other it's going to take a while to weed through all the election coverage to find an article actually discussing the candidates views on issues.
I say Bush is a scapegoat because he's being blamed for problems originating before he even took office, and other things beyond his control. It's consistent with him having held about the highest and lowest approval rating as a president.
I realize I'm coming off as strongly republican here...but I insist it's because this is the 'side' that is being grossly under-represented here, and therefore I'm going to try to even things out.

If McCain wins, he'll bomb my goats.. I don't want anybody to bomb my goats!
On a serious note though... Obama's winning by a landslide ROFL. Is this fate, or are we making a quality choice?

All I know is, I distrust both. I think Obama is a puppet, and most people I meet expect some miracle cure by him going into office. What is also scary, is that if Obama somehow doesn't get elected, America is racist. I don't understand the argument behind it, but as a personal thing, I don't like how things are looking for both sides. Both have people that are resorting to violence, even worse was my landlord having stuff thrown at him for putting a McCain support BBQ thing for his buddies.
Back to Obama being a puppet, I don't like his VP choice, and to make matters worse, I don't like Biden's language of this "testing this guy." The body language and speech language of Biden disturbs me greatly. I somehow feel Biden is planning to assassinate or force Obama to resign early on... >_______>
A lot of women want McCain to die.... for obvious reasons. Other than that, some scary things were mentioned from him that I can agree with, but sadly I can't seem to weigh everything to where I'm comfortable for voting McCain, but I think McCain may have more truth in his words than anything else. Personally, I don't like these words of "dramatic change" without giving elaborate details.
I don't expect a miracle cure out of this election, but everyone somehow believes everything will be fixed.
I just hope the country can stay together, because the surge of some racism accusations and violence in my city doesn't seem to help things if people can't stay together. We can only slow down the problems in the government at this point, and it'll take the next election to start fixing the problems.
Taxes have to go up, whoever lowers them is stupid. >______>
EDIT: As a note, I can't seem to verify a tape recording that states he'd [Obama] bankrupt the coal industry, some very disturbing comment if true...
I can only hope that my decision somehow affects the country less detrimentally.

Not an American, but being a supporter of left-wing agenda I'd vote for Obama.
The problem is the kind of policies both have promised are going to worsen the budget deficit and that is not going to help resolve the financial crisis. Tax cuts for the big guns under McCain= less tax revenue= more deficits. Universal healthcare (although it is something I strongly support, but maybe now's not the right time for that) under Obama= massive government spending= massive deficits.
Still, I do hope Obama wins and if he does, hopefully he'll have some shrewd plan up his sleeve to rectify Wall Street.

Go Barack Obama.
In my opinion. Sarah Palin doesn't know alot bout stuff she should know about if she were to become VP, and i think McCain will crack sometime during the presidency from his years in nam.
I just like Obama more becuase he's younger too.
Obama by a landslide here
65 Obama v 8 McCain ATM

It seems to me like either way America may lose out. If you vote in John, you'll end up being called racist because Obama never won or seomthing, and if you vote Obama in, chances are you'll just get let down by many hundreds of unkept promises...
Either way - it Seems to me that Obam will win, I havn't really been covering the elections and I don't know much about either candidate (What with Living in the UK and not giving a flying monkey what happens anywhere other than my kitchen, bedroom and bathroom ) but from what I HAVE seen, He's going to win by a landslide

Some people are skeptical since some think he isn't the same as he was 8 years ago. Other than that, in the public's mind it is the Republicans' fault for what's happened recently and seeing a Republican candidate somehow makes them think that he'd do the same moves as Bush Jr.
I just know the evening is going to be scary.

@ All the comments about Obama losing, blaming race, etc; You do realize that is a real issue, right? o_O. As reported by several media outlets, there are many, many "secret racists" who say they'll vote for Obama but who won't due to race. Its a reasonable conclusion to blame race, although I agree its very predictable.

Because McCain has voted in line with the president George Bush's position 95% of the time in 2007, and 90% of the time in general with his party. The democratic campaign has been announcing that, alongside with several true percentages, for some time now. To the Average Joe voter, it shows that McCain agrees with almost all of the things Bush did; Whether that Average Joe agrees with the Bush presidency or not doesn't matter, since it creates the idea that McCain is NOT a new president; He's simply an extension of the current presidency. Note that the ideas I've expressed in this paragraph are not ideas I agree with. I don't support McCain, but I don't support the notion that McCain will simply be another Bush..They conveniently left out a lot of statistics that disprove their point. Its similar to the McCain campaign spreading rumors of Obama being a communist.
-------------------------------
Well, there has already been several studies on who would win if the whole world (instead of America) had the opportunity to vote. I don't remember the exact numbers, but, suffice to say, Obama would win by far. Only America loves McCain (although obviously the Obama supporters do not to some degree). This effects not only America, but the world...When America goes stone skipping, the world feels the vibrations. Everyone should care, not only Americans.
Then again...not many Americans care.

McCain is also only 71 years old. Life expectancy is and has been 80+ for some time now, and it's even longer for the wealthy. I would say concerns about him dying in the next 4 years have been grossly overblown.

Life expectancy in America is 75.5 to 80. You're thinking of Canada, most likely. Also, it isn't necessarily about the risk of him dying in office and leaving an imbecile in charge of the entire nation - Its that he might be in need of constant medical care. Surely, you don't believe that people live to 80+ without frequent/infrequent visits to the hospitals? The concerns aren't overblown at all, they're extremely realistic. Of course, though, the whole dying in office thing sucks as well.
No point in ruling out things before they've even occurred. Don't be so pessimistic. Everything sounds bad nowadays, but people have to give things a chance. Change won't come to us in realistic situations. Whats going on right now isn't working, so a change is in order.
Also, Bush is is a scapegoat for many...People shouldn't deny that. However, it was during his presidency that several problems facing America became amplified. They didn't origin while he was in power, true, but he didn't work extremely hard to fix them, thus making him blamable (in the eyes of most people, I'm not necessarily talking about myself).

I vote McCain because:
There is a highly chance Obama will get assassinated fast and then when his vice president takes over there may be a drop is gun prices. You will see everyone with a gun right?
McCain got mine.
