Let's face it - most of us are here because we don't like them for one reason or another. Historically, they're not well moderated, the communities aren't as friendly or helpful, and flame wars are a daily occurrence. You have the GM (or moderator/admin) asskissers that flame anyone that voices an opinion contrary to the GM/admin's decisions, you have those that read one line of a post and argue as if they're an expert... anyway, not the subject of the post.

This is the subject.

When you go to these game forums and troll, flame, or just act like an ass, you give our community a bad reputation. "LOL YOU ALL FAIL COME TO MYMMOGAMES"... seriously, do you expect this statement to hold *any* weight? Keep in mind, not all people on official game forums are stupid. Some of them, we actually *want* here.

So, in the future, any attempts at trolling/flaming/raiding any other board (to include official forums, other fansites, etc.) could result in infractions/bans here. If you're going to do it anyway (and I know I can't stop you if you are), at least have the decency to use an account that isn't linked to MyMMOGames - people actually pay attention to that.

Very good. I was quite worried about this, after the latest loldrama at the official forums about coons... The actions of some of our members didn't really throw a good light on our community.

yea its safe to say the ones getting bans on mulitple mule accounts tooks it a little too far.
im sure some people got 3-4 accts banned lol.

How exactly would you go about trying to find the exact person who was trolling? Some people have different Names than from this forum

Report everything via PM - reporting it in the open can be considered flaming and is in violation of our forum rules.

I said if I catch it or if it's brought to my attention. If the identity can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt or if the other administrators give me IP addresses to cross-reference, I'll know.

Or, if someone goes in and says "HAHAHA THIS IS <PERSON> FROM MYMMO AND YOU ALL SUCK ASS!" I'll know too <-- this is the one that happens most often, actually.

Obviosly it may breach there Privacy polacy but it may be woth Pming Raven about cross refrancing with posable members in which yous susspect.

I'm not going to waste the time to go after IP addresses. I was stating that was one possible way to do it. I neither have time nor desire to go that route.

Ntreev has demonstrated its lack of willingness to work with me by the amount of time taken to answer two very simple 1:1 support requests. I have other aspects of this forum and my life that require attention.

Personally I think the rule should state that you shouldn't troll while using an account that is linked to here. Whether simply through your username or sigs or through actually linking to/talking about MOG. If someone is a troll on another forum they shouldn't be arbitrarily punished here, but if they are slandering the MOG name with their trolls and giving us a bad rep then I say burn them!

one problem i do forsee with this.
is without ip proof it would be way too easy to frame someone.
for example i could make a mule account called phucyphucy slap a link to stemania and moogle in my sig and troll like mad.
how many people would think that was step?
ofcourse with step you could apply the logic that he wouldnt be that stupid but thats just an example.

its not about the trolling its about getting someone infractions and bans here because you dislike them.

example - someone could make an account at the officials named superkat or something.
put ign moonflow in sig with a link to moogle, troll like mad, use another account to send a pm to noe here and get me in trouble for something i didnt do.

Also if its a person that many people know, it could be hard to pose exactly like them. But still, more of my first sentence/question.

Look, don't read too much into this. It's really annoying having to go through and explain every letter of every word that I write.
