Default Disappearing DLLs.

Yes, some of my DLLs are disappearing. Today I wanted to play COD4, when I double clicked on it, it said
"iw3sp.exe - Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because binkw32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I was thinking of reinstalling when...I tried to run FRAPS, I clicked on it and it said:
"Could not locate FRAPS.DLL"

I thought "okay....I'll just play this" the 'this' was America's Army. It came up with an error code, it didn't say anything about a DLL so I just rebooted my computer. When I loaded Windows a Microsoft Error Reporting thing came up so I took a look at what it was. It said that my WindowsLiveInstaller had an error three times on the 7th of November. Why did it come up now?

I then tried to play America's Army again but it still had the same error. If the error is needed I will post it.

The thing I am kinda scared of is that those DLLs disappeared probably near the same time and I know that I could play COD4 last week.

I know this could be as easy as reinstalling these apps but I would never know if my HD was going or if I had a virus/trojan/rookit, etc.

I'm using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware(free), Windows Defender and Symantec Corporate Edition.

Also...I've also had this small problem of not being able to update my computer...or Windows Defender...But for Windows Defender I just download something for it, but you can't do that with your computers updates.

If you can help me with any of my problems above, I thank you.

P.S I'm very paranoid when using a computer.

As mentioned, did you tried reinstalling the applications mentioned? Did you set the security settings @ Symantec Antivirus to max security?

Personally, I prefer Avast @ http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html as antivirus software instead, but that is up to you.

I believe you uninstalled something crucial to those games. binkw32.dll is used to play the in game cutscenes in COD4, that I know. Fraps may also have some connection and I'm not sure about AA, but it could be with that, too.

A reinstall, in this case, should work given that it is usually included with the game. However, should that fail, you can download it from their site (RAD Video Tools):
