Guild Services |
MyMMOGames offers forums for guilds on all MMO games! All you need is 15 guild members to be registered on our forums and you can have your own guild forum hosted at MMOG! Our guild services include:
- 2 guild forums - one public and one private
- More subforums available case-by-case, max of 4 for extremely large/active guilds
- Moderated by your own guild leaders; special tags for guild leaders Guild Leader Names
- Custom branding for large, active guilds (30+ MMOG members)
- Access to all other MMOG forums
Guild forums can be requested in the Administrative Requests Forum. Please submit the following information when requesting a guild forum:
Game: (i.e. Grand Chase, Lunia, Perfect World, Trickster Online, OR specify this guild is not tied to a specific game)
Server/Channel (if applicable)
Guild Leader's forum name
Sub Leaders (forum names, max of 4)
Guild Description: Short 1 sentence description of the guild.
Guild members: (use forum names, minimum of 15)
Guilds can be created either for a specific game or as a "game-independent" guild. The latter is for guilds that span multiple games or that started on a game and left. If you start your guild for a specific game, you can have it moved to "game-independent" status at any time by requesting it in the Administrative Requests Forum.
Please note that guild leaders are given moderation powers over their own sections, but they are not forum staff. Forum staff has overall moderation responsibility of the forums and has access to all guild private sections. While we respect privacy of guilds, execution of forum duties may require us to enter your private sections. All forum rules apply in guild sections. Guild leaders may be more lenient on spam-related rules but do not have the authority to override other forum rules.
Guild Leader/Forum Activity
If a guild leader goes inactive for over 30 days, we will remove their forum moderation powers (not delete their account). This is to mitigate the security risk to our forums. If a guild loses all its leaders by attrition, the guild section will be deactivated (it will exist but will not be linked from the forum home page). We're doing this to ensure only active guilds are using our forum space.
Also, if a guild forum goes for one month with no new posts it will be considered abandoned and deactivated.
If a guild section is deactivated, changes leaders, and the new leaders wish to reactivate it, please contact forum staff for assistance.
Custom Branding
When a guild reaches a certain size (currently 30 MMOG members), you may request a custom header for your guild. For your logo, we ask that you submit one logo and one character render. By submitting your artwork, you assert that you have rights to allow us to use this work, either under fair use or by owning the copyright to this work. Furthermore, if you submit work to which you own the copyright, by submitting it you grant MMOG a perpetual, non-transferrable license to display said artwork in your guild section and other locations relating to guilds (such as, but not limited to, a guild listing). You further grant MMOG a perpetual, non-transferrable license to alter your design as we see fit to improve integration with our site look and feel. You moreover grant MMOG the right to use our logo/branding somewhere in the design as MMOG retains overall responsibility and ownership of your guild forum.
^ To sum that up, if you give us artwork to use on your guild section, you also give us the rights to a) display it, b) modify it so that it fits, and c) put our logo somewhere on it because that forum is still a part of MMOG.
Custom branding can be requested in the Administrative Requests Forum. Please submit the following information when requesting custom branding for a guild forum - it must be requested by a current guild leader:
Guild Name:
Guild Members: (use forum names, minimum of 30, link to profiles)
Guild Logo:
Character Render/Alternate Artwork:
